Another play inspired by 'Where Are You Going, Oi Cai' by writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu

The original literary work "Oh Cai Ve Dau" has been adapted into many film and play versions, notably "Cai Oi" by Nu Cuoi Moi Drama Stage and "Rau Ram O Lai " on Hoang Thai Thanh Stage. Therefore, Bui Quoc Bao chose the image of a lottery troupe as the background for Mr. Hai Lan (Quang Tuan) to stay in on his journey to find his wife's lost stepdaughter. Lottery is a familiar cultural feature of the people of the South, from the city of Saigon to the river region, in a sense, it is also very suitable for the festival theme " Southern Aspiration" .

Tham (Kha Nhu) is afraid of poverty and does not dare to recognize her father, so she has to wear a different mask when facing her fiancé. Bich (Phuong Lan), the abandoned child, always longs for a family with a lover to the point of being humiliated when her lie is exposed. The rice warehouse owner (Hong Trang) who is inherently kind-hearted has to become cruel to prevent her son's homosexual relationship. Viewers may not agree with the characters' actions, but on some level, they can sympathize with their reasons, with the values ​​and pain they pursue.

In addition, the comedy pieces are also brought into play to help the play not be too heavy, focusing on the supporting characters instead of overusing them to break the emotions of the main characters.
