Weather today October 14: Heavy rain in the North, afternoon rain in the South

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from yesterday afternoon, today until the end of tomorrow, October 15, the Northern Delta region and the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will have moderate rain with common rainfall of 40-80mm, in some places heavy rain over 150mm.

The midlands and mountainous areas of the Northeast have showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally 30-60mm, with some places experiencing heavy rain over 100mm.

Hanoi has moderate rain and thunderstorms with rainfall of 30-70mm, locally heavy rain over 90mm.

From Quang Tri to Lam Dong and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening). Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the sea area from southern Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang , the Gulf of Thailand, the sea area west of the northern East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the central East Sea area, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind level 6-7 and waves over 2m high.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

From Thanh Hoa to Hue , it is cloudy, with moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms in the north, heavy rain in some places; showers in the south, heavy rain in some places (rain concentrated in the evening). Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius, highest 27-30 degrees Celsius.

The South Central Coast is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places in the afternoon. The lowest temperature is 23-26 degrees Celsius, and the highest is 29-32 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places (rain concentrated in the evening). Lowest temperature 19-22 degrees Celsius, highest 27-30 degrees Celsius.

The South has clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms, some places have heavy rain (rain concentrated in the evening). Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius, highest 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Ho Chi Minh City has clouds, scattered showers and thunderstorms, heavy rain in some places (rain concentrated in the evening). Lowest temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius, highest 30-32 degrees Celsius.
