Technical opening of Song Thu Bridge and An Binh Bridge on the occasion of March 24th anniversary

Director of the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Quang Nam Province, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong said that the road project connecting National Highway 14H to Provincial Road 609C (Duy Xuyen - Dai Loc) has a total length of 6km, of which Song Thu Bridge across Thu Bon River has a length of 669m. Up to now, the section passing through Duy Xuyen district has been handed over 3.7/4.1km (reaching 90%), passing through Dai Loc district has handed over 0.84/1km (reaching 84%) of the length of the site.

For Duy Xuyen, the district still has 0.4km of uncleared land concentrated in 3 sections due to the impact of households passing through Duy Phu commune and especially Duy Tan commune. According to the direction of the province, the project will open the technical traffic of Song Thu bridge to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam province (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025).

To do so, the contractor must build the approach road to the bridge in the south. However, this area is currently stuck with the land of Thai Nam and Thai Chin households in Duy Tan commune. Therefore, the investor proposed that the locality could mobilize people to hand over a part of agricultural land in February 2025 for construction.

The project of connecting DT609C to QL14B (Dai Loc) is 3.93km long; of which An Binh bridge over Vu Gia river is 1,060.45m long. Up to now, Dai Loc district has handed over 3.3/3.93km of the site length; the remaining 2 sections through residential areas are about 630m long (Dai Minh commune occupies 420m, Dai Quang commune occupies 210m). The remaining site clearance volume belongs to 67 households whose compensation plan has not been approved. The investor proposed that Dai Loc district People's Committee urge to speed up the meeting to consider resettlement arrangements for households whose site has been cleared, handing over the site in the first quarter of 2025.

At the construction site, the contractor of the project connecting Highway 609C to Highway 14B said that the project is lacking soil for filling, but currently in Dai Loc there is no licensed quarry for exploitation. To build the access road to serve the technical traffic opening of An Binh Bridge on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Quang Nam Province, the contractor proposed to borrow about 4,000m3 of soil from the quarry currently supplying the project connecting Highway 14H to Highway 609C. Later, the licensed quarry in Dai Loc will be returned to the project.

During the inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung met directly with a number of households in Duy Phu and Duy Tan communes to grasp their thoughts and aspirations. Through this, the provincial leaders gave policies to resolve many issues related to the petitions mentioned by the people, and at the same time requested consensus on the general policy. Comrade Tran Nam Hung requested the Duy Xuyen District People's Committee to direct relevant agencies and units to speed up procedures to remove obstacles and hand over the site to the construction contractor.
