State budget revenue in 10 months nearly reaches the yearly target

Domestic revenue contributed the most to the total State budget revenue in the first 10 months with a value of approximately VND 1,380 trillion, up 18.1% over the same period last year and equivalent to 95.4% of the year's estimate.

On November 6, the socio -economic report of the General Statistics Office said that in the first 10 months of the year, the state budget revenue situation was quite positive with outstanding growth compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, the total state budget revenue in the first 10 months reached 1.65 million billion VND, reaching 97.2% of the annual estimate and increasing by 17.3% over the same period in 2023. This is a positive result and shows the positive efforts of the authorities in attracting resources for the national budget. October alone recorded a revenue of 178,500 billion VND and contributed significantly to the total revenue of the 10 months.

Regarding revenue structure, domestic revenue contributed the most to the total State budget revenue in the 10 months with a value of approximately VND 1,380 trillion, up 18.1% over the same period last year and equivalent to 95.4% of the yearly estimate. Revenue from crude oil decreased by 6% over the same period and revenue from import-export activities increased sharply by 18.9%, reaching VND 227,200 billion (reaching 111.4% of the yearly estimate), reflecting the positive recovery of international trade activities.

Regarding resource balance, total State budget expenditure in the first 10 months reached nearly 1.4 million billion VND, equal to 66% of the annual estimate and increased by 4.1% over the same period last year. Of which, regular expenditure reached 956,300 billion VND, increased by 9.5%, meeting the operational needs of the State apparatus. However, development investment expenditure only reached 355,600 billion VND, decreased by 8.7%, thereby requiring the need to focus resources on infrastructure development investment and key projects. In addition, debt interest payment reached 85,800 billion VND, increased by 8.1%.

With the above notes, the report assessing the State budget revenue and expenditure for the first 10 months of 2024 ensures the needs of socio-economic development, national defense, security, State management, payment of due debts as well as timely payment to subjects according to regulations.
