According to the plan, the program will be implemented simultaneously at 12 stations with 65 ticket gates. Many new technologies will be applied in this phase, including electronic identification and authentication, biometric identification through citizen identification cards, electronic tickets on the Hanoi Metro application, ticket cards and VISA international payment cards.

The test subjects include two groups: passengers aged 60 and over (free tickets according to the policy of Hanoi City People's Council) and passengers using single-trip and daily tickets.
During the implementation process, passengers will be guided in detail to perform operations through the control gate, and directly experience new technological solutions. Payment will be applied according to the non-cash fare table.
Hanoi Metro representative said that the unit will receive feedback from passengers during the testing process. Based on that, the company will continue to adjust, improve and perfect the solution to bring a convenient, safe and environmentally friendly experience. This is considered a step by step application of modern technology, improving the convenience and quality of service for passengers using urban railway line No. 2A.
