At the meeting, Dr. Truong Trong Vuong, Vice Principal in charge of the Railway College, shared: In 69 years of construction and development, despite many difficulties and having to be 100% self-sufficient in regular expenses, generations of teachers and students of the school have strived to overcome and seize opportunities in each stage.

The school's facilities have changed a lot, teaching methods have been maintained, and training quality has been improved. The teaching staff has actively studied and approached new technologies, including urban railway technologies, built and compiled programs and textbooks, and participated in training for urban railway lines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Training programs and textbooks have been built and adjusted to suit railway technology and business needs. The training organization method has also changed to be more flexible but still ensures the provisions of the Law on Vocational Education , suitable for the actual conditions of the school and of units inside and outside the railway industry. Currently, the school is implementing the JICA project to enhance urban railway training capacity and the Korean project to enhance railway safety management capacity in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for the school's teaching staff to improve their professional qualifications and capacity to train human resources for national and urban railways. According to Dr. Truong Trong Vuong, the requirement for training modern railways and high-speed railways is both an opportunity and a great challenge for the school because high-speed railway technology is different from existing railways. "To prepare resources, existing human resources as well as high-speed railways in the construction and operation stages, it is necessary to have a successor workforce, a transition between generations of human resource training and the ability to participate in the construction stage, prepare capacity, have the ability to access technology, operate and maintain high-speed railways, which requires great efforts from the school's teaching staff," said Mr. Vuong.
