During the meeting with President of the Romanian Senate Nicolae Ciuca, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared with President of the Senate Nicolae Ciuca the content of the exchange between the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister, President, local leaders and businesses of Romania during the visit.

Assessing the positive development of bilateral relations in many fields; emphasizing the importance of maintaining delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones, through Party, State, Government and National Assembly channels to enhance political trust and mutual understanding, as a foundation to promote and expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.

The Prime Minister conveyed the regards and invitation to visit Vietnam from National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to Senate President Nicolae Ciuca.

The President of the Romanian Senate highly appreciated the Prime Minister's visit, which is an important milestone in the bilateral relationship in the context that the two sides will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of relations in 2025; highly appreciated the positive and substantive developments of the traditional friendship and good multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, especially the achievements in politics, economy, education - training, culture - tourism achieved in recent times.

The two sides agreed to promote cooperation between the two legislative bodies and continue to closely coordinate and support each other at inter-parliamentary forums.

The two sides agreed to continue promoting trade and investment cooperation between the two countries, improving efficiency in traditional fields such as education and training, agriculture, culture, and labor, while expanding to potential fields such as information technology, innovation, science and technology, etc.

Senate President Nicolae Ciuca affirmed that the Vietnamese community and Vietnamese workers in Romania have made many positive contributions to Romania's socio-economy.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his gratitude and respectfully requested the Romanian National Assembly to continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to further integrate into the host society and effectively promote its role as a bridge to develop the friendly relations between the two peoples of Vietnam and Romania.

The President of the Romanian Senate highly appreciated the Prime Minister's visit, which is an important milestone in the bilateral relationship in the context that the two sides will move towards celebrating the 75th anniversary of establishing relations in 2025.

During the meeting with President of the Romanian House of Representatives Alfred Simonis, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh thanked the President of the House of Representatives and senior leaders of Romania for the warm and sincere welcome given to the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Government; affirmed that in implementing the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of relations, Vietnam always attaches importance to and wishes to strengthen relations with traditional friends of Central and Eastern Europe, in which Romania is a top priority partner.

The two sides expressed their delight at the positive developments in bilateral relations in many important areas, agreeing that the bilateral relationship still has much potential and room for development. In that spirit, the two sides agreed to increase delegation exchanges at all levels, especially high-level ones, through all Party, State and National Assembly channels to enhance political trust and agree on measures to promote bilateral relations.

The President of the Romanian House of Representatives welcomed the positive developments in inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Romanian National Assembly and the Vietnamese National Assembly in recent times, with regular delegation exchanges between the National Assembly leaders, committees and the two Parliamentary Friendship Groups.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with President of the Romanian House of Representatives Alfred Simonis before leaving Bucharest, successfully concluding his official visit to Romania.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam wishes to cooperate and share experiences in the fields of legislation and supreme supervision; and asked the National Assemblies of the two countries to support and promote cooperation agreements reached between the two governments, especially in economics, trade and investment.

The President of the Romanian House of Representatives agreed that the two sides need to effectively promote the mechanism of the Intergovernmental Committee on economic cooperation between the two countries and continue to fully implement the Vietnam - EU Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

On this occasion, the Prime Minister thanked the Romanian National Assembly for actively supporting the negotiation and signing of the EVFTA and being one of the first parliaments among EU member countries to ratify the Vietnam - EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA); requested the Romanian House of Representatives to continue supporting the parliaments of other EU member countries to soon ratify the EVIPA, and support the European Commission (EC) in removing the IUU "yellow card" for Vietnam's seafood industry.

The two sides assessed that bilateral cooperation in areas such as education - training, agriculture, culture - tourism, labor, and cooperation between localities has developed dynamically in recent times; agreed to continue to further strengthen cooperation in these traditional fields, while expanding to other potential fields such as information technology, green finance, innovation, etc. to promote the friendly relations between the two countries to continue to develop in all aspects.

This is the final event in the Prime Minister's three-day official visit to Romania. On the evening of January 22 (local time), the Prime Minister and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese Government delegation, left Burachest (Romania) for home.
