During the working trip, despite having to travel a long distance and between 4 different cities in both Australia and New Zealand, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh still had more than 50 activities.

At the Special Summit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Australia relations, the leaders once again highlighted the importance and value of the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; and set out major orientations to promote comprehensive cooperation in all fields in the coming time.

The conference adopted two important documents, the “Melbourne Declaration - Partnership for the Future” and the “ASEAN-Australia Leaders' Vision Statement - Partnership for Peace and Prosperity,” as the basis for implementing the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in the coming time.

Attending the ASEAN - Australia Summits, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed "3 breakthroughs, 3 enhancements and 3 together" in ASEAN - Australia relations; which was highly appreciated by the leaders; many contents were written down.

Notably, on the occasion of attending the Conference, the Prime Minister had bilateral meetings with all Heads of Delegations attending the Conference, including leaders of ASEAN countries, Timor Leste, Australia, New Zealand and the ASEAN Secretary General.

The meetings all took place in a sincere and open atmosphere, but the discussion content was very substantive, aiming to strengthen friendship and promote increasingly in-depth, substantive and effective cooperation.

The Prime Minister's official visit to Australia and New Zealand was also successful in all aspects, marking an important milestone in the relationship between Vietnam and the two countries.

Vietnam and Australia upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; while with New Zealand, the two sides agreed to promote bringing bilateral relations to a new level.

If with Australia, the two sides proposed a "more than 6-point" direction, then with New Zealand, the two sides proposed contents covered in three pairs of keywords: "stabilize and consolidate," "strengthen and expand," and "accelerate and break through."

Notably, during the visit to the two countries, the two sides signed nearly 30 cooperation documents in the fields of education, training, innovation, aviation, energy, mining, trade, investment, finance, banking, agriculture, environment, labor, employment, justice, defense, etc.

The Prime Minister's working trip to Australia and New Zealand ended successfully, practically implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress on continuing to promote and deepen relations with partners, especially with Strategic Partners, Comprehensive Partners, important partners and traditional friends.
