Regarding the site clearance work, up to now, nearly 450 households have received compensation, with the advance payment amount of nearly 107 billion VND. While the progress milestones are very urgent, Bac Ninh province will have to resolutely carry out the tasks of reviewing, counting, and resolving difficulties and obstacles to soon clear the site for construction.
Having both residential land and rice fields to be recovered to implement the Gia Binh airport project, Mr. Khuong and Ms. Thuc (Thu Phap village, Gia Binh commune, Bac Ninh province) both support the policy of building a large airport for economic development. What they hope is that the local government will soon have clear information, especially on compensation for residential land and resettlement so that they can proactively consider relocation.
"We don't know how we will move to a new place yet, we don't know exactly where. If we know early in October, we can have a plan, for example, we still have to build a house when we move to a new place," Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuc shared.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khuong - Thu Phap village, Gia Binh commune, Bac Ninh province expressed: "We fully support the State's policy because this is for the common economic development of both the province and the State. We want to request that all levels resolve local problems so that they can be resolved satisfactorily."
As one of the villages with a large area of recovered land, Thu Phap village with 345 households has about 50 hectares of agricultural land and 12 hectares of residential land. To facilitate the site clearance, Bac Ninh province will need to carefully calculate the compensation and resettlement plan to ensure that people move to a new place of residence equal to or better than their old place of residence in accordance with the direction of the Party and the State.
Phase 1 of the project will require the recovery of nearly 125 hectares in Gia Binh commune. Of which, about 23 hectares of agricultural land has been compensated and is expected to be paid in September to have a site for construction of the VIP terminal and air traffic control tower.
Mr. Luong Trung Hau - Chairman of Gia Binh Commune People's Committee, Bac Ninh Province said: "We will continue to maintain working groups and increase dialogue with people to implement as quickly as possible and will divide into many small groups, establish standing groups in each village to receive feedback and recommendations from people".
In early September, Bac Ninh province also launched the "80-day peak land clearance" campaign for the Gia Binh airport project. To achieve the target results, more determination from local authorities at two levels will be needed, because the total land area to implement the phases of this important airport project is up to nearly 1,960 hectares.
