Speaking with Tien Phong, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Dung, Vice Principal of Dao Thinh Primary and Secondary School, informed that about 150m - 200m from the school gate, there is a household that collects waste paper.

During the rain caused by storm No. 3, this family’s waste paper warehouse was flooded. The image that is spreading on social media is the amount of waste paper that this family bought from wet areas in the warehouse and brought out to dry on September 15. Someone passing by took a picture of this image and posted it on social media, causing confusion that it was the school’s students’ books.

On September 15, students of Dao Yen Primary and Secondary School did not go to school. They returned to school as usual on September 16.

Mr. Dung affirmed that the information spreading on social networks about students' books getting wet and teachers having to wash each book and bring it to the school gate to dry is not true.

According to Mr. Dung, Dao Thinh Primary and Secondary School was built on a high position, so during the recent flood, the water only flooded the school yard. The school is also a temporary shelter for many nearby households but is located in a lower position. Therefore, the school's facilities and books were not affected or damaged by the flood from the circulation of storm No. 3.

Dao Thinh Primary and Secondary School has nearly 400 students.
