High tide warning bulletin from October 7 to 14 of the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station.
According to the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, in October 2025, the eastern coastal area may experience two high tides, of which the one from October 8 to 12 (the 15th day of the 8th lunar month) is likely to reach a very strong level. The highest water level at Ganh Hao station may exceed alert level III by about 20 cm, accompanied by strong winds, large waves and the risk of heavy rain at the same time, causing flooding in low-lying areas, landslides on river banks and estuaries, and affecting production and people's lives.
Faced with the above situation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested functional units to closely monitor forecasts and warnings from meteorological agencies; promptly notify people to proactively prevent and adjust production plans accordingly.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment regularly updates the situation, guides response measures, protects crops, livestock and aquatic products. The Department of Construction coordinates with localities to review and warn of roads at risk of deep flooding, and arranges forces to guide traffic safety.
The Provincial Military Command and Border Guards have increased control of vessels entering and leaving the estuary; the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station has provided timely information on weather developments to serve response directions. The People's Committees of communes and wards have immediately deployed plans to prevent and combat high tides; put up warning signs, guided people to move safely, and at the same time implemented measures to prevent flooding, limit damage to rice, crops and aquatic products.
