On August 27, Secretary of the Cai Ngang Commune Party Committee, Vinh Long Province Nguyen Thuy Yen Phuong confirmed that the Commune Police had worked with the TikTok account owner for posting false information about the Cai Ngang Revolutionary Historical Site.
The posting has caused confusion and misunderstanding about the relic - a place that marks many glorious feats and the pride of many generations of Vinh Long people.
False content causes public confusion
Through the work of grasping the situation, on August 26, Cai Ngang Commune Police discovered that a TikTok account posted a clip recording images in the relic area with the appearance of a young man.
The clip contains a lot of false information such as: "The area here is about 10,000 hectares", "in the tunnel, I don't know if it's because of the rain or for some reason, there are many human faces", "I don't know why this place is now abandoned", "back then there was also a fish pond and an open exhibition area, but now it's closed, no one is looking after it".
On August 26, Cai Ngang Commune Police invited the account owner to come in for questioning. This person gave his name as Ngo Thai Phong (born in 1999, residing in Hoa Hiep Commune, Vinh Long Province).
During the interview, Phong said that on August 24, he and another young man went to the relic and entered through the side gate because they did not know there was a main gate. Phong filmed, edited, and edited the clip himself and posted it on the social network TikTok with the purpose of introducing the relic.

Processing and commitment
Ngo Thai Phong admitted that posting inaccurate information was wrong, affecting the awareness of social media users and causing bad public opinion. Cai Ngang Commune Police have propagated and educated , and the TikTok account owner has committed to deleting the clip from the device and TikTok.
According to the head of the Cai Ngang Revolutionary Historical Relic Management Team, Chau Van Quoi, the relic is the place to restore the Cai Ngang revolutionary base - which used to be the base of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee from 1966-1975.
From this base, Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee issued many historic directives, leading the army and people of the whole province to many great victories.
To remember and preserve the memories of a heroic period with many glorious victories, in 2002, Vinh Long province restored the Cai Ngang revolutionary base and it was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2016.
Cai Ngang revolutionary historical relic has a total area of 10.3 hectares with many unique construction items: Reception house, service house, statue of Vietnamese heroic mother Nguyen Thi Ngọt, Provincial Party Committee base stele house, standing house, Provincial Party Committee hall, combat fortifications, spike pits, bomb craters.
The relic attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from within and outside the province. In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the relic welcomed more than 13,000 visitors, and is often chosen to organize festival activities, serve the commune party congress, military camp, and activities to return to the source.
