Located on Nguyen Van Huyen Street ( Hanoi ), the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a destination imbued with the cultural colors of ethnic groups. During each holiday, the museum always organizes activities to promote the cultural characteristics of ethnic groups and regions across the country.
This Mid-Autumn Festival, the museum offers many experiences for children with the theme "Fun with Children" and the art installation space "Autumn Colors". This is the opening activity of a series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.

The highlight of the "Mid-Autumn Festival 2025: Fun with Children" activity is the appearance of traditional folk toys such as: lanterns, star lanterns, paper doctors, to he, papier-mâché masks, clay figurines, dough animals... And try making traditional toys with folk artisans, listen to stories surrounding those toys.

On October 4 and 5, lion dances, lantern processions, and traditional water puppetry performances by Dong Ngu puppetry troupe ( Bac Ninh ) will help make the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere more vibrant.
In addition, children can also practice STEM activities to explore science through making lanterns, ships, and digital technology experiences such as virtual reality (VR)...
Besides the Mid-Autumn Festival program this weekend, the "Autumn Colors" installation art space also offers visitors an interesting experience.
The public can admire traditional toys made by senior artisans who have been associated with the museum for many years; and restored and creative toys made by some young people with a passion for handicrafts.

An interesting experience, connecting heritage and digital technology through the experience with the AI paper doctor promises to be an activity that attracts generation Z, generation Alpha. Young people have the opportunity to chat and ask questions with the AI paper doctor to hear answers about the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In addition, visitors can also explore the story of the museum and artisans' collaboration in preserving, creating and developing folk toys over the past three decades.
Over the years, every holiday season, the museum has worked with artisans to preserve, persistently restore, and introduce to the younger generation traditional toys that were thought to have been forgotten, as well as create new products to meet the needs of today's public.
This space is on display from October 4 to November 4 at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.
