- According to information from Lang Son Hydrometeorological Station, the water level on Trung River and Bac Giang River in Lang Son province is above alert level 3.
Specifically, at 8:00 a.m. on October 1, the water level on the Trung River measured at Huu Lung hydrological station was 1,965 cm, 65 cm above alert level 3; the water level on the Bac Giang River at Van Mich hydrological station was 1,908.2 cm, 82 cm above alert level 3.
It is forecasted that in the next 6-12 hours, the flood on Trung River will continue to rise slowly and peak on the afternoon of October 1, then slowly recede. The Bac Giang River will tend to gradually decrease.
High flood warnings on rivers are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas along the river, flash floods, landslides, riverbank erosion, and inundation, endangering people's lives and property. Therefore, relevant authorities and people need to continue to closely monitor flood developments, not be subjective or negligent, and proactively deploy prevention and control measures to minimize damage.
