Streamlining the apparatus of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha

At the conference, Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President and General Secretary of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, provided information and answers on the issue of streamlining the Sangha's apparatus system.

Accordingly, the Church also streamlined its organizational system to accompany the nation, achieving efficiency and effectiveness in order to best serve monks, nuns and Buddhists.

According to Venerable Thich Duc Thien, the Church will immediately accept all opinions and will have a roadmap to best implement the streamlined project.

After the Conference of Buddhist Sangha activities in the Southern and Northern provinces, the Sangha will have specific instructions in writing, in this spirit, there will be no Buddhist Congresses at the district level.

It is expected that the Board of Trustees will have an official guidance document by the end of March, following the spirit of streamlining, the 2-tier model aims to increase efficiency and enhance the role of Church administration.

Also at the conference, Most Venerable Elder Thich Thien Nhon, Vice Dharma Master and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, stated that the Sangha responded to the streamlining according to the State's policy, there will be no more district-level Sangha, instead there will be representatives at ward and commune levels for easier management.
