The whole province simultaneously organized the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has just issued Plan No. 218/KH-UBND dated September 30, 2024 on the implementation of the election of Village, Hamlet, and Ward Heads for the 2025-2027 term in the province. According to the plan, the entire province will simultaneously elect Village, Hamlet, and Ward Heads on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The election of village, hamlet, and neighborhood chiefs (abbreviated as village chiefs) is an important event to promote people's mastery, improve the effectiveness of building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations, strengthen solidarity and unity in the community; at the same time, select and elect exemplary people with qualities, capacity, and prestige, representing the community to carry out self-management work in the area; gather, reflect, and propose to competent authorities to resolve the legitimate interests and aspirations of the people; mobilize people to participate in Party building and building an increasingly clean and strong government.

Voters of village 2, Bang Ca commune, Ha Long city, voted to elect the village chief for the 2022-2025 term.

The Provincial People's Committee requires the election of village chiefs to closely follow the provisions of current laws, relevant documents and Plan No. 439-KH/TU dated July 23, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee on "Organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 16th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030", Official Dispatch No. 2178-CV/TU dated September 19, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on directing and organizing the election of village and ward chiefs for the term 2025-2027; accordingly, continue to implement the model of Party cell secretary who is also the village chief according to the model of "People trust - Party nominates". The whole province will simultaneously elect village chiefs on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

The selection and introduction of personnel must ensure democracy, publicity, transparency, focusing on standards and quality, focusing on rejuvenating the village chiefs as a basis for training and fostering the source for commune, ward and town cadres. During the preparation and conduct of the election, it is necessary to regularly do a good job of political and ideological work, especially information and propaganda work; ensure that the election takes place democratically, equally, in accordance with the law, safely, practically, effectively, without ostentation, resolutely fight against waste and negativity so that the election day is truly a festival day in the community.

The Provincial People's Committee requests local Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, relevant sectors, agencies and units to step up propaganda and mobilization work, create solidarity and unity in the entire political system; create confidence, enthusiasm and consensus in support of the people for the village chief election. Focus on disseminating and thoroughly understanding the purpose, meaning and importance of the election; the role, position, standards, tasks, powers and procedures for the village chief election...; flexibly and diversely use propaganda forms to ensure effectiveness, practicality and suitability to each household, creating a widespread influence, positively impacting people's awareness and feelings about the meaning, importance, rights and responsibilities for the village chief election.
