Hotline 112 receives information about incidents, natural disasters, and catastrophes.

On September 15, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to use the phone number 112 to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals nationwide.

Deploy the 112 switchboard system to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, and catastrophes.

Phone number 112 will be connected to emergency information systems 113, 114, 115, the Vietnam Coastal Information Station system and information channels serving civil defense work.

Call center 112 is located at the military command of provinces and centrally-run cities, the Hanoi Capital Command and the Ho Chi Minh City Command. The received contents include: personal information, reporting organization; time, location, incident developments; scope of influence, possibility of spreading; request for support and necessary data for response and overcoming consequences.

The 112 switchboard system is managed by the Ministry of National Defense . The Ministry of Science and Technology directs telecommunications enterprises to ensure uninterrupted connection to number 112 in all situations; and at the same time, free calls, messages, and multimedia to this system.
