


The ordination ceremony plays an important role in the spiritual and religious life of the Dao people, bearing a strong cultural and historical imprint, and has an educational nature for the younger generation about the origin and migration process of the Dao people. Through this, the ordination recipient and the participants can better understand their history and origin from the prayers and stories read by the shaman, thereby raising awareness of preserving the good customs and practices of the Dao people.

The participation of the artisan groups truly reflects the diversity, richness and everlasting value of the traditional folk culture of the ethnic groups in Son La province, promising a space filled with identity and attraction in the series of activities celebrating the 130th Anniversary of the province's founding.

With careful preparation from practice, costumes, props, the artists and actors of the troupes from the communes and wards have shown their talents and performed well. Thereby, helping the audience and tourists understand and appreciate the cultural identity of the ethnic groups.

Performing excerpts of festivals or traditional rituals of ethnic groups in Son La province with the participation of artisans and mass actors to preserve, conserve and spread the beauty of ethnic cultural identity to domestic and international friends and tourists.

Performances of festival excerpts and traditional cultural rituals of ethnic groups continued on October 9 and 10 at the Uncle Ho Fish Pond yard. Participating were 12 groups of artists from the wards: Chieng Coi, Moc Son, Chieng An and the communes: Van Ho, Yen Chau, Thuan Chau, Bac Yen, Song Ma, Phu Yen, Thuan Chau, Bac Yen, Song Ma, Phu Yen, Muong La, Quynh Nhai, Mai Son performing 12 excerpts of rituals and festivals representing the ethnic groups of Son La province, including: The Dao ethnic group's Cap Sac ceremony; The Thai ethnic group's Han Khuong festival; The Muong ethnic group's Moi festival; The Quynh Nhai white Thai ethnic group's Kin Pang Then festival; The Thai ethnic group's Xen Ban festival; The Thai ethnic group's Tang Cau ceremony; The Thai ethnic group's Het Cha festival.
