According to the investor consortium, the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Tran Bien, Long Thanh Airport metro line extension project has a total length of about 38.5km, expected to include 3 sections: The section from station S0 to the new administrative center of Dong Nai province (at Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park), about 6.5km long; the section from the new administrative center of Dong Nai province to Long Thanh Airport, about 27km long and the section from the new administrative center of Dong Nai province to the central axis of Bien Hoa city (old), about 5km long.

The consortium of investors also proposed the project investment form under the public-private partnership (PPP) method, BT contract. Of which, the capital source of about 65 trillion VND for the construction and installation of the entire project will be entirely used from the investor's capital. The capital source for the project's site clearance will be implemented by the State using public investment capital.

The investor consortium also proposed to split the project into independent component projects including: Site clearance compensation project (implemented by the State); 33.5km metro construction project from station S0 to station S2.4 and Long Thanh Airport; 5km metro construction project towards the central axis of Bien Hoa city (old).

At the meeting, the investor consortium also proposed 7 areas along the metro line to implement the TOD urban model development with a total area of more than 880 hectares.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha assessed that the work of preparing investment documents for the project up to this point is slow. Therefore, the consortium of investors closely coordinated with the Department of Construction to rebuild the plan and shorten the implementation time. The task is to submit the project documents to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in September 2025.

At the same time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha also assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with the consortium of investors to review and redefine the project route in the shortest and most convenient direction. Determine the location of the project's stations to calculate the development of the TOD urban model next to the stations. For the project's stations in the urban area, they must be designed and built underground.
