Having 2 hectares of water mimosa growing area, Ms. Phan Thi Xuan (Xuan Hiep commune, Tra On district, Vinh Long province) said: Water mimosa is easy to grow, requires little care and has little risk in price.

In the dry season, water mimosa has better productivity, while in the rainy season, water mimosa's productivity decreases but in return, the selling price is higher.

Because it is a natural aquatic vegetable, it requires little fertilizer or chemical pesticides, so water spinach sells very well. It can be harvested once every 10 days.

However, growers must master the technical process, especially the selection of seeds, handling of golden apple snails, and the timing of fertilization to ensure safety.

According to many households growing water mimosa, water mimosa can be harvested for the first time 1.5 months after planting, then after 7-10 days it can be harvested again, lasting 4-5 months.

There are almost no pests or diseases that harm water spinach, however when growing water spinach in ponds, lakes, or low-lying fields, you need to pay attention to golden apple snails and miscellaneous fish.

After each harvest, just add more fertilizer to help the plant regenerate and recover quickly for the next harvest.
