But sadly, all the good plans could not come true. Referee Tran Dinh Thinh passed away in the early morning of August 4. He had an accident while conducting a physical examination in the early morning of August 3.

It is expected that on the morning of August 5, 2025, the funeral ceremony for referee Tran Dinh Thinh will be held at his private home in Dinh Quan, Dong Nai and the funeral will take place on the afternoon of August 7, closing the life of a person who always devoted himself to his refereeing career - a person who left many deep impressions in the hearts of fans and football experts in Vietnam.

The sudden passing of referee Tran Dinh Thinh has left behind endless sorrow in the hearts of friends, colleagues and football lovers in the country. He was one of the most experienced referees, having taken charge of many important matches in professional tournaments, especially the V-League. Throughout his career, he always demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, impartiality and standards in every decision on the field.
