TPO - After merging into Luu Vinh Son commune (Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province), the two remaining commune headquarters were abandoned and now become deserted, with weeds growing all over the grounds.

In 2020, Luu Vinh Son commune (Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province) was formed from 3 communes: Thach Luu, Thach Vinh and Bac Son, with the headquarters located in the old Thach Vinh commune. After merging into Luu Vinh Son commune, the two administrative headquarters of Thach Luu and Bac Son communes were abandoned. In the photo, the old Bac Son commune headquarters is abandoned.

Due to more than 4 years of disuse and lack of protection, many items have deteriorated. The glass door systems are cracked, leaving a shabby scene.

Currently, the old headquarters of Bac Son commune is still abandoned. While the infrastructure system and cultural house here were once invested in, because of long disuse, garbage and trees have grown into the communal cultural house.

“The headquarters and cultural house are new, but have been abandoned for many years and are now in disrepair. People passing by feel sorry for them. In the past, people in this area used to use the court to play volleyball, but now they don’t use it anymore. At many meetings, people have also expressed their opinions on avoiding wasteful abandonment. But until now, there is still no plan, while the longer it is left unused, the more degraded it will be,” said Mr. Nguyen Tuan (residing in Dong Vinh village, Luu Vinh Son commune).

It is known that in the period of 2019-2021, Ha Tinh is one of the localities implementing the arrangement of 80 commune-level administrative units, reducing 46 communes. Since then, many headquarters have not had a solution yet.

Recently, the authorities have been planning to handle headquarters and public assets, especially surplus assets after mergers. However, it has encountered difficulties due to many problems.

According to the leader of the People's Committee of Luu Vinh Son commune, after nearly 5 years of merging, the two old headquarters of Bac Son and Thach Luu communes are still abandoned, with no plan for use. Previously, the locality also proposed to higher authorities for a solution, but so far it has not been resolved.

“This is a common situation in the whole province. Many localities after merging have redundant headquarters that are still abandoned without a solution,” said the leader of the People’s Committee of Luu Vinh Son commune.
