He thanked the audience and left a comment explaining why the character played by actor Tuan Tran was named Truong Duong.

However, Tran Thanh's explanation "The sun is the sunlight but will fall down" has caused many controversial debates.

The audience had many opinions: "Tran Thanh explained the intention of naming the character that made me faint. Duong in the word "trung duong" is often understood as the ocean, not the sun. The word "trung" here also does not mean "sagging"";

Poet Le Minh Quoc told Tuoi Tre Online that "trung" is a Sino-Vietnamese word with many meanings: similar repetition (for example, same name, same opinion...); same time (like holidays, New Year's Day coinciding with someone's birthday); "trung" means layer upon layer.

According to the Sino-Vietnamese dictionary by author Dao Duy Anh, Trung Duong means Tet on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month (also known as Tet Trung Cuu). In addition, Trung Duong also means the vast ocean.

"With this meaning, Tran Thanh explains that "trung duong" is the sunlight but will fall down.

No one pronounces "trùng dây" (downward). If it were "chùng dây", using the word "trùng dây" would be meaningless and awkward.

In addition, "chung" in Vietnamese means "an chung" (eat secretly).

"Tran Thanh's explanation above is incorrect" - poet Le Minh Quoc affirmed.

Lecturer Nguyen Hieu Tin - Ton Duc Thang University, told Tuoi Tre Online: " Chinese characters have the same pronunciation, many meanings, and the dialect meaning is like "just enough to use", so Tran Thanh can explain it in any way, it's humorous.

Because the word "trung duong" is not written in the original Chinese characters, its meaning will be different. For example, the word "trung" alone has 8 different meanings...".

In addition, he further explained about the Chinese Double Ninth Festival: "Double Ninth Festival (jiu is the number 9, chong is to repeat, chongjiu is the 9th of September).

Number 9 is an odd number and is yang (heavenly number). The 9th day of the 9th month is the day of heaven's blessing, so it is called Chongyang. 9-9 in Chinese is read as cuu cuu, which means long-lasting, everlasting, so it can be related to wishing longevity...".
