On September 11, the University of Foreign Languages, University of Danang held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary (1985 - 2025). Attending were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung and leaders of Danang City.

Established on April 11, 1985, the Danang University of Foreign Languages was established to meet the demand for training language human resources for the Central region. After 40 years, the school has developed into a large-scale training facility with nearly 8,000 students, trainees and postgraduates; organizing training in 17 university majors (29 majors), 6 master's majors and 3 doctoral majors.
The staff currently has 325 people, of which 27% have doctoral degrees, a number that shows significant professional potential compared to universities in the region. This is the foundation for the school to continuously improve the quality of teaching, scientific research and international integration.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of Danang University, affirmed that entering a new phase, the University of Foreign Languages has many opportunities to make a breakthrough, becoming one of the leading language training institutions in the country, aiming at regional and international levels. The Director of Danang University also emphasized that the school needs to continue to improve training quality, promote international cooperation, develop a team of highly qualified lecturers and innovate management associated with digital transformation.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Long, Principal of the University of Foreign Languages, University of Danang, said that the unit is always a pioneer in innovating training models, building a dynamic academic ecosystem, and applying information technology in teaching.
"Those efforts have contributed to affirming a solid professional position, while demonstrating social responsibility, spreading knowledge and training high-quality human resources for the country," Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Long shared.

The University of Foreign Languages, University of Danang has trained tens of thousands of foreign language bachelors for the Central Highlands in recent times, and at the same time contributed to affirming the role of Danang City in the national university education map. The development of the school is closely linked to the needs of integration and socio -economic development of the city, providing human resources with foreign language proficiency and global skills for key industries such as: tourism, logistics, information technology and international finance.

On this occasion, the University of Foreign Languages, University of Danang was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister, an emulation flag from the People's Committee of Danang City, and many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and University of Danang in recognition of its outstanding contributions in 40 years of construction and development.
