Private school in Ho Chi Minh City continues to make its mark with absolute valedictorian with 30 points in block B

(NLDO)- Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School (HCMC) continues to make its mark when it has a valedictorian in this year's high school graduation exam with a perfect score of 30 in block B.

With 30 points in math, chemistry, and biology, Tran Duc Tai, a student at Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School (HCMC), became the valedictorian of group B of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

Sharing with reporters right after looking up his high school graduation exam scores, Tran Duc Tai said that although he was very confident with his graduation exam results, the perfect score in 3 subjects: math, chemistry, biology and literature of 8.25 points also surprised him. With this graduation exam result, Tai chose block B as the block for admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The young man said that since the 8th grade, he began to nurture the dream of becoming a medical student, a doctor from the image of his older sister who was then a student at Can Tho University of Medicine. And with his passion and love for natural subjects, Tai learned about the learning environment and entered high school at Nguyen Khuyen School.

"I consulted a lot of information from my seniors as well as information channels and found that Nguyen Khuyen is an environment that is suitable for my ability as well as meets my learning and living needs when I came from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City to study. During my high school years, the teachers at Nguyen Khuyen School were not only the ones who instilled my passion for knowledge but also created a comfortable learning environment, accompanied me, and gave me the opportunity to participate in competitions to show off my full potential and strengths" - Tai shared.

Although he had the ability and passion for natural subjects, especially mathematics, from a very early age, demonstrated through his achievements as a good student in the city, gold medals in the Ho Chi Minh City Olympics in his high school years, but to come to the 2018 General Education Program, Tai spent a lot of time referring to textbooks, even specialized documents at the university level. Reading books and textbooks helped him to be able to deal with many situations in his knowledge. Just with the recent high school graduation exam in biology, thanks to reading documents, he was able to solve the question about diabetes in the exam.

The whole country has 9 valedictorians with perfect scores of 30/30.

(NLDO) - 9 valedictorians achieved perfect scores, including 8 students in group A00 (math, physics, chemistry) and 1 student in group B00 (math, chemistry, biology) in the high school graduation exam.

"With today's result, it is a recognition of my efforts and nurturing of my passion. It is my thank you to my parents and family for their trust, and to the companionship and care of my teachers to help me fulfill my dream" - the valedictorian said emotionally.
