According to Mr. Linh, after more than 600 years of existence, Ho Dynasty Citadel has 16 points with a total length of 370 m that are displaced, deformed, and at risk of landslides, so it is necessary to carry out an emergency reinforcement project, invested by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa , with a total cost of more than 14 billion VND.

The reinforcement solution is to use iron bars welded into a frame to support the displaced stone blocks; drive reinforced concrete piles to reinforce some weak sections of the wall, apply a waterproof layer and create drainage ditches. Wild trees growing on the wall surface with deep roots that affect the wall such as Duoi, Sanh, Da, Bo De... will be cut down and cleaned.

In addition to the urgent reinforcement project of 16 points of the citadel wall above, the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center is investing in the project to restore 15 m of the citadel wall that was eroded by storm No. 10 in 2017. This is the location that has been archaeologically excavated (after the landslide), collecting a lot of information and evidence about the construction techniques as well as the size and design of the stones used to build the citadel.

Ho Dynasty Citadel is located in Vinh Tien and Vinh Long communes (Vinh Loc district, Thanh Hoa). On June 27, 2011, the citadel was recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.
