According to information from Cho Moi Medical Center, after dinner on October 1 at the communal kitchen, 45/278 students of Cho Moi Ethnic Boarding Secondary School showed symptoms of fatigue, stomachache, nausea and diarrhea. Of these, 14 were transferred to Cho Moi Medical Center for monitoring and treatment. By the evening of October 2, all students' health had stabilized.
Immediately after the incident, the People's Committee of Thanh Thinh Commune coordinated with Cho Moi Medical Center to organize classification, initial medical treatment, and take food and specimen samples to send to the Provincial Center for Disease Control for testing to determine the cause. The school area was also disinfected and sanitized according to regulations.
