(Dan Tri) - After two years away from home working in Korea, Duc made his mother burst into tears when he suddenly returned home for Tet. However, because he did not inform her in advance, his mother "asked after" him in an unforgettable way.
During the first days of the new year, the online community continuously shared touching videos capturing the moments when children far from home returned to reunite with their families.
Recently, a video longer than one minute recording the moment a son secretly returned home to his parents after 2 years of working in Korea attracted nearly 1 million views on TikTok.
Coming back from Korea without telling anyone, the young man was "slapped without fail" by his mother (Clip: NVCC).
The video begins with the mother standing outside the gate waiting for the “special guest” to come to her house. When she sees the masked man carrying a suitcase approaching, the woman still has no idea what is happening.
When the boy spoke, the mother was silent for a few seconds because she was so surprised. Then, she rushed forward, repeatedly slapped her son on the cheek, and hugged him tightly.
The boy who was "slapped without fail" by his mother in the video is Dau Thanh Duc (21 years old, from Nghe An ).
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Duc said he has been in Korea for 2 years, on a student visa in Seoul city. After two years away from home, when he saw his fellow countrymen returning home one after another to celebrate Tet, Duc decided to also return to reunite with his family.
"My parents always say they don't miss me so that I can work in peace in a foreign land, but I know they are always looking forward to my return. That's why this year I decided to come home to celebrate Tet with my family.
The night before returning home, I was so excited that I couldn't sleep, so I went to the airport at 1am, even though the flight was not due until 9am," Duc shared.

Wanting to surprise his family, the young man decided to keep his return a secret. On January 20, when he was leaving the airport in Korea for Noi Bai airport, Duc called his sister, set a time to pick him up, and told her not to tell anyone.
The older sister cooperated enthusiastically, quietly picking up her younger brother without revealing any information to the family.
"I only told my sister to come and pick me up, because Tet was coming, I was afraid that my parents would not be safe on the long journey. When we got home, my sister lied to my parents that there were guests coming to visit. My mother also went to the gate to wait, but did not know that her son was coming home.
When I walked over with my suitcase, my mother looked at me but still didn't recognize me. Only when I started teasing her did she burst out laughing and ran over to "slap" me.
"My mother thought I wouldn't come home, so when she saw her son standing in front of her, she panicked, not knowing what to do, and kept hitting me nonstop," the young man recalled, laughing.
The way his mother showed her surprise with slaps left Duc surprised and moved. After that, the mother couldn't stop hugging her son because she was so happy.
For the 21-year-old man, although he had not been away from home for long, being reunited with his family was a great happiness. He was happy to see that his parents were still healthy, and after a year of celebrating Tet in a foreign land, he was finally able to return to his familiar home.

Netizens couldn't help but laugh at the ending of "secretly returning from Korea", creating a surprise for Duc's relatives. Many people left humorous comments about the mother's special way of expressing her love.
"Then call dad to pick you up, mom hit you so hard," an account named Thong humorously commented.
