Tuyen Quang: Ensuring the progress of projects commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly

On the afternoon of September 11, at the National Assembly House, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam chaired a working session with Tuyen Quang province on the implementation of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

Attending the working session were Party Central Committee member, Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs Nguyen Dac Vinh; leaders of the National Assembly Committees; leaders of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Construction and Ministry of National Defense.

On behalf of Tuyen Quang province, attending the working session were comrades: Nguyen Manh Tuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Thi Minh Xuan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ma Thi Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; representatives of provincial departments and branches and leaders of Tan Trao commune.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Manh Tuan reported on the implementation of projects and works commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly. Accordingly, Tuyen Quang province implemented two projects including: the Project to preserve and embellish the National Assembly Standing Committee relic site and the Project to renovate and upgrade the revolutionary road from Tan Trao commune to Trung Yen commune (formerly). Currently, both of these projects are located in Tan Trao commune.

Up to now, the progress of the two projects has been ensured according to the set plan. In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will direct the provincial authorities to concentrate human resources, speed up the construction progress, strive to complete the remaining items of the Project to Preserve and Restore the National Assembly Standing Committee Relic Site, ensure the completion of the entire project; complete the procedures according to regulations to organize the implementation of the Project to renovate and upgrade the revolutionary road from Tan Trao commune to Trung Yen commune.

At the meeting, delegates contributed ideas and discussed solutions to continue promoting the implementation of the two projects to ensure progress and quality in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Concluding the working session, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong praised Tuyen Quang province for organizing many "returning to the source" activities in recent times; coordinating to organize many practical programs to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election of the National Assembly of Vietnam.

At the same time, commend the National Assembly agencies, ministries and central branches for their attention and support to Tuyen Quang in carrying out tasks to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

He requested the province to focus on completing all items of the project to preserve and embellish the National Assembly Standing Committee relic site before November 30, 2025, in time to serve the events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Regarding the project to renovate and upgrade the revolutionary road from Tan Trao to Trung Yen, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that this is a route closely associated with the journey of activities not only of the National Assembly but also of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee during the resistance war. The renovating and upgrading of the road not only serves traffic but also contributes to recreating and enlivening the historical space, honoring Tuyen Quang as a "Resistance Capital". Speeding up the progress of the project is also the wish of the National Assembly deputies to promote the value of the entire relic site".

He also requested the National Assembly Office to continue to synthesize and advise the Steering Committee for the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly, and report to promptly resolve arising problems. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also requested the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Finance to promptly provide guidance to ensure the road is constructed as quickly and with the best quality, ensuring both the quality and construction progress of the historical road and the Tan Trao revolutionary road.
