Propagating deposit insurance policy at the annual congress of people's credit funds

With the aim of raising depositors' awareness of the deposit insurance policy, recently, the Vietnam Deposit Insurance Branch in the Northwest region (Branch) has coordinated with People's Credit Funds (PCFs): Tien Kien Commune, Minh Nong Ward and Van Du Commune ( Phu Tho Province) to propagate the deposit insurance policy at the Fund's Annual General Meeting to accurately inform customers and members about the legal rights of depositors brought about by the deposit insurance policy.

At the Congress, the Branch introduced some basic contents of the deposit insurance policy, the rights and benefits of depositors, the risks and consequences of the form of "black credit", and informed members about the goals, roles as well as some outstanding activities of the Vietnam Deposit Insurance in recent times. The Branch's activities received much public attention with the number of people reaching nearly 500, including delegates, guests inside and outside the banking industry, and most of them were members depositing money at 3 QTDND.

In the coming time, the Branch will continue to deploy and expand effective propaganda forms so that depositors can access and correctly understand the deposit insurance policy, have knowledge to protect themselves against risks and increase confidence in the operations of the People's Credit Fund in particular and the banking system in general.
