The score race of the U.23 Vietnam stars
On the night of September 20 at PVF home field, PVD-CAND team welcomed Da Nang Club with U.23 Vietnam players such as Xuan Bac, Hieu Minh, Anh Quan... while Phi Hoang, Hong Phuc, Duc Anh played from the start for the away team.
Right after the opening whistle, both coaches Thach Bao Khanh and Le Duc Tuan did not need to probe but instead sent their troops up high, proactively played offensively and launched "tit for tat" moves.
After the unsuccessful attacks, by the middle of the first half, the majority of the midfield players of the two teams then turned the match into a fierce battle in the midfield, where PVF-CAND had the upper hand in the number of shots.

When the tension was at its peak, Da Nang Club had a moment that changed the game, when Phi Hoang crossed the ball uncomfortably, Hieu Minh's clearance accidentally brought the ball to Van Long's feet and this former player defeated goalkeeper Minh Long with a decisive volley.
The away team's goal in the 30th minute increased the speed again. After only 7 minutes, the equalizer 1-1 came after a beautiful shot by former U.23 player Thai Ba Dat in the 37th minute. From a pass from U.23 Vietnam player Anh Quan, the 2005-born boy had a very strong shot that curled the ball into the top corner, defeating goalkeeper Van Bieu.
The first half score race did not stop there. In the 45+2 minute, Van Long played the role of assist for David Henen to score. This was the situation where PVF-CAND captain Minh Long made a serious mistake when he let the ball thread into the net from a very narrow angle, helping the away team Da Nang temporarily lead 2-1 after the first half.

Entering the second half, Coach Thach Bao Khanh instructed his players to push up. Thanh Nhan's entry into the field helped PVF-CAND force Da Nang Club into a position where they were almost forced to retreat and defend. In the 67th minute, veteran Samson was brought onto the field, making PVF-CAND's firepower even stronger.
For most of the second half, PVF-CAND held the ball and continuously surrounded goalkeeper Van Bieu's penalty area but encountered fierce resistance from Da Nang players. But then after 15 shots, the equalizer 2-2 came after Samson's experienced header.
In the final minutes, Da Nang FC, exhausted from chasing the ball so much, could do nothing but defend against PVF-CAND's continuous ball-stuffing. But occasionally, their counter-attacks made the home fans "stop their breath" when the ball hit the crossbar and the post and went out.

Unable to score after 7 minutes of extra time, PVF-CAND regretfully left the field with 1 point on a day when captain Phi Minh Long will certainly need a lot of encouragement, while Da Nang Club also has reason to regret the opportunities that came so close.
With 4 points, PVF-CAND temporarily ranked 8th on the rankings after round 4 while Da Nang Club still has not known victory, accepting to rank 3rd from the bottom after 2 draws and 2 losses even though coach Le Duc Tuan has shown a huge change in the playing style of the Han River team.
