On the afternoon of September 14 in Ba Ria (HCMC), the National U17 Finals - Thai Son Nam Cup 2025 kicked off with 4 matches in groups B and C.

In group B, U17 Song Lam Nghe An defeated U17 Becamex TP HCM 4-0 thanks to goals from Van Sang, Hoang Quang and a double from Van Canh.

Also in this group, U17 Hanoi showed the mettle of the defending champion when they defeated U17 HAGL 3-0 with a double from Manh Quan and a goal from Nguyen Luc.

In Group C, U17 PVF-CAND defeated U17 The Cong Viettel 1-0 thanks to Bui Trung Hieu's goal in the 21st minute after a corner kick.

Meanwhile, U17 An Giang created a big surprise when they defeated U17 TP HCM 3-2. The home team took the lead but An Giang made a strong comeback with goals from Tan Tai, Quang Hai and Tuan Phat. TP HCM scored another goal to narrow the gap but the victory still belonged to the Western team.

With this result, U17 SLNA, U17 Hanoi and U17 PVF-CAND all won 3 points on the opening day.

The remaining matches of Group A will take place today (September 15), along with the tournament opening ceremony.
