Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announces Hung King's Commemoration Day holiday

(NLDO) - Officials, civil servants, and public employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, and political organizations are given 3 consecutive days off for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day.

On March 12, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee announced to administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations (collectively referred to as agencies) about hanging the national flag and taking a holiday for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day in 2025.

Accordingly, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the above agencies will have 3 consecutive days off from Saturday, April 5 to Monday, April 7 (including one holiday and 2 weekend days).

Agencies and units that do not have fixed days off every Saturday and Sunday should arrange a suitable holiday schedule based on the program and plan of the agency or unit.

Agencies, units, enterprises, schools, hospitals, armed forces units and households fly the national flag on April 7.

The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns and Thu Duc City to promote and remind people to hang the national flag in residential areas and units under their management.

At the same time, arrange to be on duty on holidays, ensure security and order, fire prevention, safety of agencies, units and public entertainment areas. Arrange working departments reasonably to handle work continuously, ensuring good service to the organization and the people.

In addition, districts, towns and Thu Duc City also need to continue to guide, inspect and supervise disease prevention in the area and units under their management.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to effectively mobilize people, agencies, units, and organizations to maintain hygiene in residential areas, markets, schools, offices, factories, and roads, beautify office areas and townhouse facades; and continue to practice civilized urban lifestyle.
