Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, requested the Department of Foreign Affairs to speed up the progress of advising the City People's Committee to issue a Plan to implement the Government's Action Program to implement Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation. Review documents and regulations in the field of foreign affairs to improve the effectiveness of consulting work, build foreign affairs strategies in line with the city's development planning; in which priority is given to key areas such as economic diplomacy, green economy, digital economy, high technology, tourism, health, etc. Promote the application of digital platforms, improve foreign information work; coordinate the implementation of activities to strengthen cooperation, promote investment, promote tourism, etc. with localities and international organizations.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep suggested that the Department of Foreign Affairs pay attention to and improve the level of forecasting and policy planning work in conjunction with perfecting the organizational structure; improving the quality and capacity of the civil service. At the same time, she hopes that the city's foreign affairs staff will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity; strive to improve their expertise, professionalism, style and skills to meet the requirements of international integration in the new period.
