(DN) - On the morning of September 5, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh; Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, along with leaders of the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Dong Nai province, and local leaders attended the opening ceremony at Dieu Ong Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary and High School (Bu Dang commune).

In the 2025-2026 school year, Dieu Ong Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities has 14 classes with 468 students (8 secondary classes, 6 high school classes). The school currently has 35 teachers, 100% of managers and teachers meet standards, of which 18.4% meet above standards.

Despite many difficulties in terms of facilities, the school has arranged and provided enough classrooms, accommodation and necessary equipment to implement the 2018 general education program. All classes have televisions for teaching and learning activities, and 100% of the school's teachers implement electronic lesson plans.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school's student promotion rate reached 99.14%, and the number of students graduating from junior high school and high school reached 100%. Students with excellent academic performance reached 14.6%, and students with good academic performance reached 52.6%. The school had 14 students winning provincial-level excellent student awards for grades 9 and 12, and 3 teachers winning the title of excellent homeroom teacher at the provincial level. This is also the second consecutive year that the school has had 100% of grade 12 students graduating from high school.

At the opening ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh presented the school with 50 scholarships (worth 50 million VND), 50 gifts for students in especially difficult circumstances, and 300 sets of national costumes for the school's students.

On the occasion of the new school year opening, the Central Youth Union presented schools in Bu Dang commune with 2 bookcases worth 100 million VND, 30 Vu A Dinh scholarships, 10 bicycles, 500 national flags, and 100 photos of Uncle Ho.

Teachers and students of the school also watched online the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), now the Ministry of Education and Training . This was the first time all educational institutions nationwide saluted the flag and sang the National Anthem at the same time.
