Why did the Rubber Industry College change its name to Eastern College?

On September 16, the Rubber Industry College (under the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group) located at Tan Dong Ward, Dong Xoai City ( Binh Phuoc ) held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to change its name to Eastern College and open the 2024-2025 school year.

Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, presented the decision to rename the school to the leadership of Eastern College.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school will enroll over 12,600 students (short-term and long-term). In the first 9 months of 2024, it will enroll over 16,200 students. The school's long-term training scale is 1,713 students with 21 different majors. To improve the quality of skills as well as ensure employment for students after graduation, the school has signed a cooperation program with 50 businesses in and outside the province.

Leaders of Eastern College awarded scholarships to students

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee Tran Tue Hien said that renaming the school is an inevitable trend, marking the development of the school, from only training in the rubber industry, now expanding to train other professions to serve the quality human resources for Binh Phuoc in particular and the Southeast region in general.

Ms. Hien also hopes that in the new school year, Eastern College will expand the scale of its professions, focus on training human resources close to practical needs, especially in the field of information technology to serve the field of digital transformation...
