According to information from the organizing committee, the Silver Medal went to Hoang Pham Minh Khanh, class 10G0, Newton Secondary - High School. 5 Bronze Medals went to Nguyen Tran Thao Nguyen, Hoang Ngoc Bach (class 10 Chemistry 1), Mai Thanh Tung, Nguyen Trong Nghia (class 10 Chemistry 2), Duong Dang Khoa (class 10 Physics 2), all students of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Vietnam's results were highly appreciated among the 54 countries and territories participating in this year's IJSO.

Vietnam team competes in the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2023.

Previously, these 6 candidates passed the team selection round with 180 participants. The International Youth Science Olympiad is the most prestigious exam for 15-year-old students. The knowledge of the exam is comprehensive, integrating 3 Natural Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Candidates taking the exam will take the exam in English with 3 tests: Multiple choice, theory (individual scoring) and practice (team scoring). Therefore, in addition to scientific knowledge and good English proficiency, candidates need to have knowledge of Mathematics, the ability to work in groups and many other skills. JSO 2023 was held in Thailand from December 1 to 10 with the participation of more than 300 students from 54 countries and territories. The organizing committee awarded a total of 182 medals, including 34 Gold Medals, 61 Silver Medals and 87 Bronze Medals.
