At the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that energy plays a crucial role in ensuring national energy security while serving sustainable socio -economic development.
Sharing the goal of ensuring energy security and Vietnam's plan to develop liquefied natural gas infrastructure, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed investors to exchange and share experiences to support Vietnam in implementing this plan.
Within the framework of the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son had a working session with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Novak.

The two sides highly appreciated the efforts to implement high-level agreements reached during General Secretary To Lam's visit to Russia.
The two sides agreed to speed up preparations to effectively implement the Protocols and Agreements on expanding cooperation in the field of oil and gas exploration and exploitation, which took effect this October.
The two sides also agreed to study expanding cooperation to other fields such as wind power, green energy, renewable energy and service provision, infrastructure construction, and energy, oil and gas logistics.
Also in Russia, receiving a number of Russian energy and oil and gas corporations, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the Vietnamese Government supports businesses of the two countries to proactively coordinate and implement cooperation projects to ensure harmony of interests between the two sides, creating new symbols for the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
