
According to the Center for Industry and Trade Information ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), Vietnam's export turnover of goods to the US market in the first 7 months of 2025 reached more than 85.1 billion USD, an increase of 28.1% over the same period last year.
Notably, more than half of Vietnam's export value to the US is currently high-tech products such as consumer electronics, smartphones, and garment and footwear products, the rest are other products such as furniture and agricultural products.
Specifically, in the first 7 months of the year, computers, electronic products and components led the export turnover to the US, reaching more than 22.2 billion USD, up 68.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 39.2% of the export proportion. Next is the group of machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 13.2 billion USD, up 19.2% over the same period last year, accounting for 41.3%. Textiles and garments reached 10.2 billion USD, up 15.3% of the export proportion, accounting for 45.5%.
Items with strong export turnover growth in the first 7 months of 2025 compared to the previous year: Sports equipment and parts increased by 230.5%; electric wires and cables increased by 65.2%; glass and glass products increased by 107.6%; coffee increased by 69%.
The US is currently leading Vietnam's export markets. Meanwhile, Vietnam has become a major trading partner of the US and an important link in the supply chain of many types of goods for the US market.
Among Vietnam’s export items to the US, agricultural products, seafood, furniture, decorations, etc. occupy a very important position. Because these are the product groups that Vietnam is strong in and the US has a large demand for.
