Vietnam attends conference to deploy preparations for China Fair

Attending the Conference were representatives of the CAEXPO organizing unit of China and 10 ASEAN countries. Mr. Li Yan, Deputy Director of the Asian Department, Ministry of Commerce of China and Ms. Wei Zhaohui, Secretary General of the CAEXPO Fair Secretariat, Director of the Guangxi Exhibition Bureau chaired the Conference. Mr. Le Hoang Tai - Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade , representing the CAEXPO Organizing Committee of Vietnam attended and delivered a speech at the Conference.

According to Mr. Le Hoang Tai, implementing the National Trade Promotion Program in 2024, in order to continue supporting businesses to maintain export activities, the Trade Promotion Agency organized a Vietnamese business delegation to participate in the CAEXPO 2024 Fair in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, China.

At the National Pavilion with the theme "Beautiful Cities", there are typical cities representing ASEAN countries and China. Representing Vietnam, Mr. Le Hoang Tai said that Vietnam is urgently selecting typical provinces/cities to display at the "Beautiful Cities" Pavilion.

“In addition, Vietnam also organizes for businesses to participate in the Trade Pavilion with a scale of about 200 booths to display and introduce products directly at the Fair. In particular, we will focus on agricultural and food products with export potential in China,” said Mr. Le Hoang Tai.

At the Conference, Mr. Le Hoang Tai also made a number of recommendations related to the organization of participation in this year's Fair: Strengthening support for Vietnamese enterprises in customs clearance of people and goods to China to participate in the Fair. Especially agricultural products at the Vietnam - China international border gates (China side), warehousing and quarantine procedures... This is also an effective measure to ensure the quality of Vietnamese goods at the Fair.

Mr. Le Hoang Tai also requested that China continue to offer preferential tariff policies for Vietnamese products displayed and traded at the Fair; support in propaganda and promotion work, inviting visitors and trading with Vietnamese enterprises in both direct and online forms.

The Chinese Organizing Committee will soon announce the detailed plan and program of this year's Fair, new regulations related to the organization of businesses participating in the Fair: customs procedures, goods clearance, personnel registration procedures and services provided to businesses participating in the Fair...

Over the past 20 years, CAEXPO has become a large multilateral economic and trade cooperation platform between ASEAN and China, gathering a large number of Chinese and ASEAN businessmen and investors, creating extremely favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to directly learn about market trends, exchange, promote business and promote cooperation in many fields with Chinese and ASEAN enterprises.
