"Vietnamese walking costume" - Spreading Vietnamese culture to the world

In the ancient space of Bratislava Castle, Slovakia, the graceful ao dai fluttering in the wind is not only a symbol of traditional beauty, but also a bridge connecting the hearts of Vietnamese people living abroad with the Fatherland.

The sound of drums mixed with the bustling laughter created an ancient yet lively space, where every step of the participants was like the beat of Vietnamese culture blending with the breath of the city.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia Pham Truong Giang and overseas Vietnamese took a souvenir photo in front of Bratislava Castle.

The bustling atmosphere, bright eyes, joyful smiles and friendly waves from everyone contributed to creating a vibrant energy amidst the historical space of the Castle.

The event "Vietnamese Traditional Costumes for Walking" co-organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia, the Vietnamese Women's Association in Slovakia and the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club, not only honors the traditional beauty of the Ao Dai but also affirms the spiritual strength, solidarity and national pride of the overseas Vietnamese community. The images of women in graceful Ao Dai and children radiant in colorful national costumes send a strong message about a Vietnam rich in identity, friendly and open.

The program took place in a solemn atmosphere, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2. The event attracted the participation of Ambassador Pham Truong Giang and his wife, all officials and staff of the Embassy, ​​leaders of community organizations and hundreds of Vietnamese women and children living and studying in Slovakia.

Amidst the magnificent scenery overlooking the poetic Danube River, the soft Ao Dai blends with the colorful ethnic costumes of Tay, Thai, H'Mong, and Quan Ho, as if in harmony with the sunlight. Every step, every smile, every bow tells a story of Vietnamese culture, both gentle and proud, both intimate and solemn.

Speaking at the festival, Ambassador Pham Truong Giang emphasized: "The Vietnamese costume walking event is a valuable initiative to promote Vietnamese culture to the world . This is not only an opportunity to introduce the Ao Dai, lion dance or traditional beauty, but also an opportunity to connect the Vietnamese community abroad, spreading the image of a friendly and rich Vietnam to international friends." He also said that the series of events will continue to be held in Košice (Slovakia), Liberec (Czech Republic), London (UK) and Amsterdam (Netherlands), with many diverse cultural activities, from Ao Dai parades to folk art performances.

"Vietnamese Ao Dai Walking" is not only an Ao Dai festival but also the opening activity for a series of Ao Dai parades in many European capitals, initiated by the Union of Vietnamese Women in Europe. The activities are held simultaneously with traditional music , vibrant lion dances, and booths displaying Vietnamese culture and cuisine, giving international friends the opportunity to fully experience the beauty of Vietnamese culture.
