The above decrease is explained by the economic slowdown and Vietnam's GDP is expected to increase by 7% in 2025.

Digital transformation increases brand value

The report emphasizes that Viettel Group continues to maintain its position as the most valuable brand in Vietnam. This is the 10th consecutive year Viettel has held this position with a brand value of 7.4 billion USD.

Holding the 2nd and 3rd positions in the list of most valuable brands in Vietnam this year are Vinamilk (down 2%, reaching 2.6 billion USD) and Vietcombank (up 16%, reaching 2.4 billion USD) respectively.

The report noted that the banking industry has an impressive digitalization rate with 87% of brands accelerating digital transformation.

The real estate industry grew by 27%, the technology sector grew by 10%... This shows that businesses' ability to adapt to general economic challenges is quite good.

MBBank stands out as the fastest growing brand with brand value increasing by 87%, reaching 1.6 billion USD.

This is explained by the strategy of prioritizing digitalization and expanding the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segment, along with solutions for corporate customers that have driven growth.

Meanwhile, Vinpearl (brand value 204 million USD) won the position of the strongest brand in Vietnam, achieving a BSI score (brand strength index) of 97.5/100.

Vietcombank and Bao Viet (brand value of 603 million USD) ranked 2nd and 3rd in terms of brand strength, achieving BSI scores of 95.3/100 and 92.8/100, respectively.

Vietnamese brands increase despite global brand value decline

Mr. Alex Haigh, Asia-Pacific Managing Director of Brand Finance, commented that Vietnamese brands are showing resilience despite a downward trend in global brand value.

Viettel's expansion of its 5G network, MBBank's focus on developing a digital strategy, and Vinpearl's record growth are proof of this adaptability.

According to Mr. Alex Haigh, Vietnam has made significant progress in the field of sustainability with new regulations.

For example, the 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance Implementation and Disclosure Manual requires more than 2,000 large emitters to report annual greenhouse gas inventories. These initiatives aim to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

In the sustainability perception value ranking, Viettel leads with 400 million USD thanks to its commitment to green technology and community development activities.

VietinBank also stood out with the highest positive difference value of 9 million USD, showing the potential to improve its reputation for sustainable development.
