On September 28, according to a quick report from the Da Nang Civil Defense Command, due to the impact of storm Bualoi, many mountainous areas experienced heavy rain.
Heavy rain damaged 70m of road in the mountainous commune of Phuoc Chanh (formerly Quang Nam province), 100m³ of soil, rock, and concrete were washed away and filled, and 22 lighting poles were damaged.
National Highway 14G passes through Ba and Dong Giang communes, soil and rocks overflowed the road surface, filling longitudinal ditches at 3 locations with about 40m³.
At National Highway 40B, the road surface, section Km68+030 - Km68+060 (right route), has subsided and cracked along the roadbed.
Heavy rain also caused negative slope landslides at 2 locations, positive slope landslides, soil and rock overflowed the road surface, filling the longitudinal ditch at Km101+400 (left route) and Km101+850 (left route) of National Highway 40B about 800m³.
At Highway 619, section Km14+150 - Km14+500 (left route), the roadbed slope collapsed about 120m³.
Mr. Bui The Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of La Dee Commune, said that heavy rains lasting the past two days have caused serious landslides on National Highway 14D through Dac Re village.
The Commune Civil Defense Command has ordered forces to immediately put up warning signs, barricades in the area, and notify people to ensure safety when traveling through the above area.

According to information from Thanh Binh commune authorities, authorities and local people are searching for Mr. Ngo Minh Thoai (62 years old, resident of Thanh Binh commune) who went missing while looking for a beehive in the forest.
Earlier on the morning of September 25, Mr. Thoai went into the mountainous forest area of village 5 to search for a beehive, then went missing and has not returned home yet.
After receiving the information, Thanh Binh commune authorities mobilized more than 60 people including commune police, militia, military command, security and order at the grassroots level, and dozens of local people into the forest to search.
Due to the impact of the storm, there was heavy rain in the commune, so the search was difficult, and so far no one has been found.
