Vinh Long inaugurated Highway 2 Bridge, 45 days ahead of schedule

On the morning of September 24, the Traffic Project Management Board of Vinh Long province held the inauguration ceremony of Highway 2 Bridge on Vo Van Kiet Street, in the center of Vinh Long province.

Delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; Dang Van Chinh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Thi Thuy Kieu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and leaders of local departments, branches and sectors.

Road 2 Bridge is a key traffic project, welcoming the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. The project was constructed urgently, ensuring quality, 45 days ahead of schedule.

The bridge has a reinforced concrete structure, load capacity HL93, consisting of 2 units, each unit is 79m long, 10m wide. The project also invests in completing the approach road to the bridge, residential roads, sidewalks, drainage and lighting systems... with a total investment of nearly 186 billion VND. The investor is the Traffic Project Management Board of Vinh Long province; the capital is sponsored by Vinh Long Newspaper and Radio - Television Station through the state budget.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Van Chinh praised the efforts of the investor, consultant and contractor in organizing safe construction, following technical standards and ahead of schedule.

“Route 2 Bridge is an important traffic project, contributing to completing the urban infrastructure network, enhancing connectivity, and creating conditions to promote the province's socio -economic development,” emphasized comrade Dang Van Chinh.
