Mr. Nicolai Prytz - Ambassador of Denmark to Vietnam said that as the first country in the world to install a commercial offshore wind farm more than three decades ago, Denmark has become a true pioneer in wind energy. By 2024, wind energy will account for 55% of Denmark's electricity production.
Denmark's success stems from effective energy policies, close cooperation between government, industry and citizens, a constant focus on innovation and integration of future technologies.
This has positioned Denmark as a global wind energy hub, as well as having world-leading companies in all stages of wind energy development.
Vinh Long province has great potential in the field of renewable energy as the province has significant wind resources. Therefore, Danish companies in sustainable energy solutions are looking for investment opportunities in this area of the province.
Mr. Jason Chua - Vice President, Head of Regional Development for Greater Asia, Vestas Development Company said, Vestas is a Danish company and a global leader in sustainable energy solutions.
The company has been operating in the wind energy sector for over 40 years and has installed over 188 GW of wind turbine projects worldwide. In Vietnam, Vestas has installed 35 projects with a total capacity of 1.6 GW, making a significant contribution to the renewable energy landscape.
Vestas Company wishes to seek investment opportunities in the wind energy sector of Vinh Long province, such as: Preliminary survey and assessment of potential and implementation of wind measurement; completion of necessary studies to assess potential, pre-feasibility report; development of investment proposals to serve the process of selecting investors and implementing the project./.
