On October 1, Duc Long commune visited and encouraged the forces participating in search and rescue and gave gifts to support households that suffered heavy damage due to the storm in the area.
Previously, at around 7:30 p.m. on September 29, due to the impact of storm No. 10, a flash flood suddenly occurred in Duc Long commune, causing heavy damage to many households. Notably, in the area of the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Project Management Board, the fierce flood swept away 3 technical staff, leaving them missing. Immediately after the incident, the commune mobilized more than 40 militiamen to coordinate with officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command to quickly arrive at the scene to carry out search and rescue operations.
According to the latest information, by 5pm on October 1, search forces have found one more missing victim. Currently, one more missing victim is still being searched for by highly concentrated forces.
Next, the delegation visited and provided support to 13 households in the hamlets of Thanh Cong, Ka Lieng, Ban Nhan, and Khuoi Cap. These are households directly affected by flooding and landslides, many of which had to be urgently evacuated to ensure safety; each household received 1 million VND in support. At the same time, they visited the Border Guard Station, the Highway Project Management Board, and the Disaster Prevention and Control Team in the area with a total support budget of over 23 million VND drawn from the Commune Relief Mobilization Committee fund.
