Tra Linh Commune: 1 person died, hundreds of hectares of crops were flooded - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

In Tra Linh commune (from September 29 to 30), due to the impact of storm No. 10, prolonged heavy rain caused damage to people and property. A passerby was swept away by floodwaters in Nhom Nhem - Lung Day hamlet and was found dead. The victim was identified as Mr. Truong Van Chau, 55 years old, residing in Coc Cang hamlet, Tra Linh commune.

Many houses in Thang Sap hamlet were flooded.

The floods isolated 26 households in Thang Sap hamlet, 7 households in Tai Nam 1 hamlet and 1 household in Residential Group 3. Many key roads such as National Highway 3, National Highway 34 and intra-field routes were eroded and blocked. More than 145 hectares of crops, rice and cassava were submerged in water. Fish raised in 3 ponds in Na Y and Na Thau hamlets were swept away.

Authorities reach out to provide food assistance to isolated households.

Faced with the above situation, the Party Committee, the People's Committee of Tra Linh commune and the Commune Civil Defense Command mobilized local forces, coordinated with the people to evacuate assets, and provided food, clean water, and medicine to isolated households. At the same time, they organized to level landslides, saw downed trees to clear roads, and guided people to leave areas at high risk of landslides.
