Building a national target program on cultural revival and development, building Vietnamese people

On July 21, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) organized a national online workshop to consult on the dossier on the task of "Building a national target program on cultural revival and development, building Vietnamese people for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045" (referred to as the Program). Attending at the provincial bridge point were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities.

At the workshop, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported a summary of the draft dossier of the Program's tasks. Accordingly, the Program sets out 9 project groups, including: Developing the cultural personality of Vietnamese people; building a healthy cultural environment; improving the effectiveness of cultural information, propaganda and education ; preserving and promoting the values of national cultural heritage; promoting the development of literature and art; developing the cultural industry; promoting digital transformation and applying scientific and technological achievements in the field of culture; developing cultural human resources; international integration, absorbing the quintessence of human culture. The Program's goal is to build a system of values on Vietnamese culture, family, and people; focusing on harmoniously solving the preservation and promotion of cultural values; building with focus and key cultural fields identified as necessary to be prioritized.

Discussing at the workshop, representatives of ministries, branches and localities agreed on the necessity of issuing the Program, and at the same time exchanged and clarified the content and close relationship between culture and people, thereby determining the key contents and goals; pointing out urgent cultural issues and fields that need to be protected, preserved and maintained; shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome and innovated from state management, mechanisms, policies to implementation practices...
