Unite to develop together
In a spacious house worth more than 1 billion VND, Mr. K'Krai, M'Nong ethnic group, Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia city, was very excited to share about the dramatic change of his family. Although he had 5 hectares of land, he used to earn just enough to eat. In 2010, when the commune implemented the new rural development program, he was able to study good and effective farming models. After studying, he immediately started working. At this time, he had access to preferential capital sources. The coffee and durian growing model gradually took shape and brought in increasingly higher income. Now he is a well-off household in the village and commune.
"I saw Kinh households growing coffee and durian, and I really wanted to. Then I decided to do it and now I've succeeded. In general, people in my village learn from Kinh people to do business very effectively," said Mr. K'Krai.
In 2020, Gia Nghia city was the first district-level unit of Dak Nong province to reach the national target program on new rural construction with 2/2 communes meeting the standards.
Having just sold a Dona durian garden of more than 1 hectare, his face still holding a smile of a good harvest, Mr. K'Sung, M'Nong ethnic group, head of Ting Wel Dom hamlet (Dak Nia commune, Gia Nghia city) happily shared that he sold 17 tons of durian at 60,000 VND/kg, this year his family earned more than 1 billion VND.

Thanks to their diligence in production and labor, along with learning and exchanging experiences with each other, the lives of the people in the hamlet are increasingly improved, many households are well-off. Everyone is very united, close-knit, and helps each other to develop together.
"In the past, the villagers' lives were still difficult, but recently, thanks to the attention of the Party and the State, the villagers have actively studied and exchanged experiences with each other on new and effective methods of agricultural production such as growing coffee, pepper, and durian, so now their lives have stabilized," Mr. K'Sung shared.

Along with that, people have access to preferential policies on loans, seedlings, and livestock, so production is increasingly effective. In particular, the solidarity and consensus of the people have helped the commune successfully complete its economic and social goals.
