The inspection team was established under the decision of the Department of Health to conduct surprise inspections of compliance with food safety laws during the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival at food production, trading and import establishments in the province.

The inspection team consists of 11 members, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department; 2 Deputy Heads of the delegation are from the Provincial Market Management Sub-Department. The remaining members come from the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department, the Quality, Processing and Market Development Sub-Department, the Provincial Police Department PC03, the Provincial Center for Disease Control and representatives of the People's Committees of the inspected communes and wards.

Through the actual inspection, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tuyet, Deputy Head of the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department, said: The moon cake production facilities basically comply with food safety regulations, have full legal documents, administrative records, books; producers are examined for health, trained in food safety knowledge; self-declared products and complied with safe production processes. This year, the number of moon cakes produced is small, but the facilities all pay attention to choosing suppliers of raw materials, additives, and food packaging to ensure quality.
However, there are still some facilities with narrow production areas, which have not presented complete documents related to raw materials and food additives. In these cases, the Inspection Team has taken corrective actions, reminded and instructed to fix them, and at the same time handed them over to the local authorities to continue monitoring, supplementing missing documents and handling violations (if any).
The inspection contents include: legal, administrative documents and books related to food safety; implementation of regulations on self-declaration/registration of product declarations, quality control, labeling, advertising and traceability of food origin. In addition, the delegation also inspected food safety conditions at production and business establishments such as hygiene, facilities, equipment, tools, human resources, raw materials, additives, water sources; food production, processing and preservation processes; sampling for testing of quality and food safety indicators when necessary and compliance with other relevant legal regulations.
